In this workshop we examine the close relationship between Planet Earth and its closest companion in space, the Moon. We look at their interactions with one other, how gravity holds them together and learn about their orbits around our parent star the Sun. We also look at how both lunar and solar eclipses happen.
Using an experiment, we recreate a moonscape and model the orbits of the Moon around Earth and the Earth and Moon around the Sun.

The full 2 hour workshop covers both the Earth and the Moon.
The 1 hour mini workshop can either cover the Earth OR the Moon individually.
